Terms of service

Plain English, because you'll have to live with these. Using QuoteStudio means you accept them.

The service

QuoteStudio is software for sending quotes, running projects, and issuing invoices. It is provided by stillidea. It is a tool for producing and tracking your documents — it is not an accountant, a lawyer, or a party to any agreement between you and your clients.

Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account.
• One account is for one person or studio. Don't resell access.
• You must be able to enter a contract in your country.

Your content is yours

Everything you put in — quotes, projects, invoices, client details, your logo — stays yours. We claim no ownership and no licence to use it beyond what's needed to run the service for you (storing it, rendering it, emailing a document when you press send).

Plans and payment

• Free covers 3 projects, for as long as you like. No card, no expiry.
• Founding is $5/month for the first 50 accounts, and that price is locked for as long as the account stays active — even after the list price rises.
• Pro is $12/month or $99/year.
• Billing is currently manual. You ask, we send a payment link, and we switch your account over by hand. This is deliberate at this size. When automatic billing arrives, we'll move you across without changing your price.
• Reaching the free limit stops you creating new quotes. It never touches work you already have — existing projects, invoices, and client links keep working, always.

Refunds

Ask and you'll get one for the current period. We would rather refund you than have you stuck paying for something you don't use. No form, no argument.

Cancelling

Stop paying and the account returns to Free. Your data stays; you keep access to what you've made. Ask us to delete the account and it's a hard delete — everything, permanently, with no way back.

What we ask of you

Don't use QuoteStudio to defraud anyone, send spam, break the law, or attack the service or other accounts. We'll close accounts that do.

Availability, honestly

We aim to keep it up and we run on Cloudflare's network, but we don't offer a formal uptime guarantee at this price. If something breaks, tell us and we'll fix it — usually the same day.

Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous 12 months. We're not liable for lost profits, lost business, or a client who doesn't pay you. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose — you can print or export every quote and invoice as a PDF at any time.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we'll email account holders. If you don't like the change, cancel — your price is locked, and we won't change it out from under you.
